We would like to invite you to our Research ‘Top Tips’ session with the University's Head of Research Policy, Dr Tanita Casci, and Research Impact Manager, Ms Rose-Marie Barbeau.
This ‘roadshow’ is to share the insights gained through the ongoing unit of assessment reviews, REF results and sector developments and to provide information on support mechanisms for research and impact.
Relevant to researchers at all levels, this is a practical session aimed at providing take-away tips for individual researchers looking to enhance their profile and performance in both research and impact.
From the research perspective, Tanita provides an overview of what the institution has learned from the UoA reviews, and uses her experience as a commissioning editor for Nature to provide advice on getting published and interacting with editors. Rose-Marie’s talk on impact is aimed at encouraging open-mindedness on what constitutes impact (at this stage in the REF cycle), developing an impact strategy relevant to your research and incorporating an understanding of impact into your research plans.
