Research Week: Health MOTs
Thu 20 April 2017, 16:00 – 17:00 BST
***Please note that Research Week is an Internal event for Univeristy of Stirling staff only***
Is your car healthier than you? Come to this drop-in session to take part in your very own health MOT!
Join the Faculty of Health Sciences & Sport at their open drop-in between 4 and 5pm and try out our health MOT service (free of charge). Every year we have to get our cars checked, but why don’t we regularly do this for our own bodies? Participants can take part in three stations where we can measure your blood pressure, lung function and body composition (weight, body fat, metabolism etc.). All these checks are non-invasive, although you do have to take your shoes and socks/tights off for the body composition measure (it’s done using a machine similar to your bathroom scales). We do also need to know your age as part of the health check, but this will not be shared around! The three stations should take only a few minutes each, but you might have a short wait if it gets busy.
This sign up is just to provide an indication of possible numbers - thank you!
