Nottinghamshire County Councils Community friendly Notts team (working with Newark and Sherwood District Council and Notts Police) are working on a project aimed at reducing crime in the abovementioned areas. An essential part of this process involves helping residents to be heard. What are the things that are important to you? What would improve you area? To this end we are organising an online residents meeting which we hope will be the first of many. The purpose of the meeting would be to:

• Meet your neighbours and support your community
• Discuss the concerns you may have about the area
• Learn more about the new gardening projects in your area and GET INVOLVED
• Be part of a new Residents group and have your say
• Take part in new resident led activities of your choosing

We believe that these meetings are important because they help to create a forum for residents to foster a sense of community in the area; to communicate more effectively with your housing officers; and to encourage residents to work together to keep our neighbourhood an attractive and safe place to live.
