Event description
Resilience Coaching with the Grid™ - Achieve great results, transform lives, and grow your practice.

About this Event

Masterclass Outline

Over the last decade, Magdalena has developed a simple tool and framework called the Grid™ by integrating neuroscience, positive psychology and evidence based multi-modality coaching. Grid™ coaching helps clients stop working to exhaustion, recognise and tackle imbalances and addictions that drive them (for example to overworking), and overcome isolation, shame and loneliness all of which increase when we’re not integrated within. As the demand for well-being coaching rises, her Masterclass will benefit experienced and new coaches who are interested in adding a new tool and process to their 1:1 work. It will also serve those who are interested in a more holistic and creative approach to working with others.

What makes it so magical?

  • neuroscience and positive psychology informed
  • engaging more than just the mind!
  • engaging both right and left brain mind plus body and emotions and something larger we call spirit!
  • targeting the number 1 cause of under-performance and disengagement
  • an issue that affects coaches as much as clients but which can help coaches be relevant, imaginative and useful to others.

Masterclass Aims and Objectives

Over the course of the day Magdalena will introduce the Grid™, share how she uses it herself and with her clients to stay motivated, focused, productive and healthy. Attendees will have the opportunity to reflect on their own life/work and will walk away with inspiration, practical, highly effective activities and insight into what helps build better habits.

During the day you will:

  1. Be introduced to thee important neuroscientific insights to help facilitate effective behavioural change in little time and without much talking.
  2. Get an overview of the Grid™ and how it helps people integrate the person within while also increasing their productivity and health.
  3. Apply the Grid™ using several common coaching scenarios.
  4. Leave motivated and confident to go beyond talk-only interventions to tackle motivation, belief, hope and resistance to change.
  5. Develop practical ideas for how you can add the Grid™ to your practice.

The day will include a mixture of short inputs, peer coaching and three specific activities to take away and try immediately.

Masterclass Content

The Grid™ is incredibly simple, powerful and versatile. Clients’ aspirations and challenges can be addressed in physical space, engaging the body’s intelligence and with it their most authentic sense of feeling into what is true, not just what they think. This is where effective change happens. The Grid™ can be applied to executive coaching and life coaching, constructing a better life and business as a practitioner, as well as supporting clients through recovery. This is true because the Grid™ facilitates the development of a compelling holistic vision, maintenance of healthy boundaries and helps shine light on what works and what doesn't through factual, visually accessible information, that builds motivation for change immediately. Using experiential work and group facilitation, you will experience the Grid™ for yourself. You will see how it can be integrated into how you work and who you work with. We will work through a specific case study and you will learn a number of effective techniques to help clients move forward.

Magdalena Bak-Maier is driven by a deep curiosity of how the integration of mind, heart, body and spirit facilitates empowerment with the aim to advance human effectiveness, teamwork, healing and recovery.

Her approach combines neuroscience, extensive training in coaching, therapy and conflict facilitation, original productivity tools and frameworks with a commitment to systemic improvement. In addition to a successful 1:1 practice her work contributes to talent development at leading research institutions in the EU and the USA. She has written two books: 'Get Productive!' translated into Chinese and Arabic, and 'Get Productive Grid' and her newest book on mind-body connection is soon available in paperback.
