Resilience – How We Bounce Forward Not Back
Event Information
About this Event
Resilience = “The capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; Toughness”
Resilience = “The ability of a substance to spring back into shape; Elasticity”
We believe neither of these definitions describes how we can deal with the events of 2020.
We are being continuously asked by our leaders to be resilient and reminded that COVID is not forever we will “bounce back” from the challenges we have faced. Has anyone explained we may not want to go back to the way we were we want something better? We want to use our resilience to help ourselves, our organisations and our people come back stronger.
This free workshop will show you the tools and techniques to do just that. We will explain it's not just about being tough, or continually springing back after being stretched or impacted, it's about taking stock, learning and “bouncing forward”
Come and learn more about how we can enhance your individual, team and leadership resilience for sustained success through COVID and beyond.
The sessions will be interactive with break out rooms and time to learn from each other.

These webinars have been prepared in partnership between Ascent Wellbeing (www.ascentwellbeing.com) and People Power Performance (https://www.pppois.com/).
Ascent Wellbeing supports organisations to create whole organisational wellbeing systems which adhere to national legislative guidance and good practice such as Thriving at Work and ISO45003.
People Power Performance Organisation Improvement Strategies aims to help change the narrative for the world of work through people being at the forefront of powering performance and helps organisations to move individuals from good to great to exceptional.
Both organisations also support organisations to develop the unique strengths of their people, drawing on the field of Positive Psychology, supporting staff to thrive and be the best they can be at work. Wellbeing and performance are intrinsically linked and to get the best from your people, they need to feel good and happy at work. These organisations have decades of experience in the areas of mental health and wellbeing, Positive Psychology, HR and Employee Engagement.
Paul Hamlin, Director of People Power Performance and Georgina Clarke, Director of Ascent Wellbeing say:
“We have joint values to help people to be the best version of themselves and to help organisations create environments where people are supported to flourish and perform at their best. We both see wellbeing and strengths as being a key part of this process and want to focus on helping leaders to engage staff effectively, understanding how to inspire staff to contribute their unique strengths, so as to create positive cultures and behaviours at work’
