The Resilience Network invites you to join us for a special session, Collaboration in Care: A Discussion on the Adult Social Care Review

About this event

As we await the report on the consultation of Adult Social Care Review, the Resilience Network would like to invite you to join us for a special session, "Collaboration in Care: a discussion on the Adult Social Care Review & National Care Service".

During our event you’ll hear from:

🔹 Dr Donald Macaskill from Scottish Care

🔹 Dr Anne Hendry from International Foundation for Integrated Care

🔹 A representative from the Third Sector Unit of the Scottish Govt

Background

The Independent Adult Social Care Review was commissioned by the Scottish Government in September 2020 to recommend improvements to adult social care in Scotland, primarily in terms of the outcomes achieved by and with people who use services, their carers and families, and the experience of people who work in adult social care.

One of the recommendations from the review was to establish a National Care Service, with Scottish Ministers being accountable for the delivery of high standards and consistency in health and social care services. The consultation on the creation of a National Care Service ran from 9th August – 2nd November 2021, the result of which is due to be published early 2022.

Join us as we explore what this means for care providers in Inverclyde, and the ways in which we can all contribute to a collaboration in care in our communities.
