Resilience - skills for you and your teams.
Thu 29 September 2016, 18:30 – 20:30 BST
Working in organisations can be stressful, and we all have different abilities to cope. As HR professionals this affects us, but we also have an opportunity to support others and increase engagement. The objectives for this session are:
Increase awareness of tools for resilience
Identify at least one tool to practice to develop personal resilience
Consider how to support others in the organisation
Ruth Kirby, Leadership Development Manager, Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust
Ruth has an extensive background in personal and leadership development during a career spanning 24 years in the Civil Service and 11 years in the NHS. One of her roles during this time was as a Staff Welfare Officer, in which she supported individuals and managers with work and home related challenges. This sparked an interest in positive psychology and has led her to resilience as a topic.
