About this event
We're all more resilient than we think or believe. This workshop will help you learn the practical skills and tools you can use immediately to build your personal resilience.
The workshop is based on my book, The Resilience Handbook.
We will cover these key topics:
- Positive Psychology
- Emotional Intelligence
- Mindfulness and self-care
The workshop is intended to be accessible and available to everyone. It will not be recorded as it's a full skills development workshop.
I'm a highly experienced facilitator and learning designer. Although online, the workshop will be full of opportunity to discuss, reflect and complete activities. We will use Zoom for the session, please let me know if there any related requirements I can try and accommodate for.
The loose agenda will be:
09:30 - Start
10:45 - First Break
12:15 - Second Break
13:30 - Finish
The session is run by me, Sukhvinder (Sukh) Pabial. Sukh is a senior learning and development professional, with a masters degree in occupational psychology. He is a positive psychology practitioner, and speaker on emotional intelligence. Sukh believes that we all have the agency for growth and development, and we have plenty of research and evidence to guide our thoughts. He believes that your path to improved resilience and stronger relationships is more available to you than you may realise.
Frequently asked questions
Yes, but the session is focused on practical skills and tools for building resilience. We will not have time to get into individual mental health situations, and this isn't the right forum for that either.
I'm very clear that I am not a counsellor or therapist. My work is centred on practical skills and tools to build personal resilience based on research and evidence. The skills and tools you will learn are all freely available for you to do further research.
Yes, that's why we won't be recording the session. The session will be a safe space to talk, reflect and think honestly for yourself and with others. There will be no sharing of personal stories.
No. The important thing is you feel comfortable for your personal setting. There will be a lot of opportunity to engage in activities, but at no point do you have to have your video on.
No, you will get a copy of the book as part of your booking. It's for your reference when you're ready. My assumption will be we come to the session to learn together.
The event is solely run by me. I have my own time to account for, cost of books and online platforms and fees that Eventbrite charge me. I want the session to be accessible for all so the different price points reflect that.
