Event description

Description

Thank you to everyone for your penitence and understanding whilst we have been working with Wainfleet All Saints, Thorpe Saint Peter, Thorpe Culvert and all of the other communities affected by flooding in June throughout the county.

Recovery and resilience activities remain embedded within these areas and will do for some time to come but I am sure you will join me in congratulating the community and all of the volunteers for all of their hard work and dedication they continue to give unashamedly.

To this end, the 3rd Resilient Communities Conference will now take place on Monday 21st October 2019 at the British Red Cross facility, Spittlegate Level, Grantham. Doors open for registration and coffee at 09:30 before the conference is officially opened by Cllr Nick Worth, Lincolnshire County Council portfolio holder for emergency planning.

The day will be an opportunity for all to meet likeminded people around the county that have either started to or have developed community based emergency plans and resilience activities to help safeguard their communities, livelihoods and environments before, during and after crisis.

We do hope to see you all there

All the very best

Steve Eason-Harris
