Event description
An evening with Trinity Boys Choir, Trinity Boys Choir NINE + Cirrus Voices

About this Event

A rare chance to hear Nicholas Ludford’s Lady Mass “Missa Dominica” with its striking early Renaissance polyphony rendered by the assured trebles of Trinity Boys Choir. Plus some stunning set pieces by Jonathan Dove, Judith Weir and John Tavener. Add to this the British premiere of Graham Lack’s “Candlemas”, complete with handbell choir, and a rewarding evening of music-making is guaranteed. The programme SOLSTICE skilfully intertwines the liturgical cycle of the mass with works describing the passing of the year. Trinity Boys Choir, whose reputation puts it perhaps in a league of its own, appears with Cirrus Voices, our young professional tenors and basses.
