Description

Join us for a fun and informative day with Karen Wild. "Resource guarding and in-house fighting"

What if your dog loves to possess? Loves food, things, places, beyond all reason, beyond any common understanding? How can we reach and teach a dog that has decided nobody is allowed near when he has possession of a prize, even if it's just a humble paper tissue?

How can other dogs in the household be managed around such an issue, and is it possible to prevent in-house fighting when everyone wants the same things?

This talk focuses on features of resource-guarding behaviour in family pet settings, using case-study illustrations. A practical approach is taken where this impacts upon multiple dog households and focuses on how resource guarding beahviour can be worked with positively.

There will also be ample opportunity to ask questions so whether you are a trainer looking to expand your knowledge or an owner wanting to find out more about your dog's behaviour, we hope that this event will cater for your needs.
