By Mansfield Innovation Centre

Overview

Explore how responsible AI practices can unlock operational efficiency, enhance decision-making and support sustainable business growth.

Note that this event is exclusively for businesses within Mansfield District.

What will be covered:

This dynamic, interactive session is designed for businesses looking to adopt AI safely, confidently, and effectively. We will explore how responsible AI practices can unlock operational efficiency, enhance decision-making, and support sustainable business growth, without the overwhelm or the risk.

We encourage delegates to bring laptops / tablets etc. to gain "hands-on" experience of using AI within the session.

The event will be followed by a complimentary buffet lunch and opportunity to chat with our presenter and other delegates.

By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:

1.Understand the core principles of responsible and ethical AI use in SMEs.

2.Identify productivity-focused AI opportunities relevant to their organisation.

3.Use a straightforward AI Readiness Checklist to evaluate their current starting point.

4.Experiment hands-on with accessible AI tools in guided scenarios.

5.Redesign one real business workflow using a responsible AI framework— moving from problem → AI-enabled solution → safeguards.

6.Apply basic risk and quality checks to ensure safe, secure, and responsible implementation.

You will leave with:

  • A clear, jargon-free understanding of responsible AI for SMEs.
  • A personalised shortlist of AI quick wins for productivity and efficiency.
  • A completed AI Readiness Checklist for their organisation.
  • Hands-on experience using practical, low-barrier AI tools.
  • A simple workflow transformation plan they can take back to their team.
  • Increased confidence to experiment, scale, and innovate safely.
