Overview: This session will explore how RegTech firms can responsibly design, deploy, and govern AI systems in a highly regulated environment. The discussion will connect policy, technical standards, and regulatory obligations into a clear roadmap for firms operating in Northern Ireland and beyond.
We will cover:
- AICC's role in Northern Ireland and how it helps SMEs embed ethics, validations, and compliance alongside AI pilots and innovation.
- Regulation, security and frameworks where we will highlight the evolving regulatory environment for AI in RegTech services, touch on emerging cybersecurity challenges and standards, and outline established frameworks which can support transparency, accountability, and resilience.
- Implementation around building AI inventories, risks assessment, and governance to demonstrate compliance.
Goal: Attendees will leave with a structured view of how Responsible AI in RegTech moves beyond compliance checklists to become a strategic enabler, combining ethics, cybersecurity, and standards into a competitive advantage.
