Overview

Advice from wildlife experts on how to keep both yourself and our marine life safe.

In anticipation (will they won’t they come?) of humpback whale season Cornwall Marine and Coastal Code Group are hosting this free webinar on zoom to discuss best practise around marine wildlife with a particular focus on whales.

We will provide updates on the DEFRA code of conduct for marine wildlife. Additionally:

  • Trudy Russel (Natural England) will explain the laws protecting these animals and offer advice on how to keep them—as well as your crew and passengers—safe.
  • Dan Jarvis (BDMLR/WiSE), who leads CWT’s SeaquestSW Humpback photo ID work, will share up-to-date knowledge on individual whales seen in recent years and discuss their behaviour.

We hope you will join us to ensure we can keep Cornwall’s reputation as a premier wildlife tourism location by working together to protect these wonderful animals.
