Welcome to REST & RESTORE: YIN & HALOTHERAPY event at Crystal Salt Cave in Borehamwood, London! Join Jackie on August 3, 2025 at 6:30 PM (Europe/London) for a rejuvenating experience.

Yoga in a Himalayan salt cave, also known as salt yoga or halotherapy yoga, combines the benefits of both yoga and salt therapy (halotherapy).

Benefits of Yoga in a Salt Cave:

* Improved Respiratory Health:
The salt particles in the air can help open airways, reduce inflammation, and improve lung function, which can be particularly beneficial for those with respiratory conditions like asthma or allergies.

* Enhanced Relaxation:
The calming atmosphere of the salt cave, with its soft lighting and quiet environment, can amplify the relaxation benefits of yoga, promoting mental clarity and reducing stress.

* Stress and Anxiety Reduction:
Salt therapy is known to release negative ions, which can help regulate mood and reduce anxiety.

* Skin Benefits:
The salt can be absorbed through the skin, potentially aiding in detoxification and rejuvenation.

* Increased Oxygen Flow:
By improving respiratory function, salt yoga can increase oxygen flow throughout the body, enhancing the overall yoga experience.

* Detoxification:
The salt particles can help cleanse the lungs and airways, promoting a sense of detoxification.

Health & Safety

Frequently asked questions

What should I bring to the event?

Please bring your own mat.

What Should I wear?

Avoid wearing dark-colored clothing or fancy clothing, as the fine salt particles may leave a light residue. Wear comfortable, casual clothing instead.

What Should I expect?

During a halotherapy session, some may experience mild symptoms as their body begins to detox & clear the airways. You might notice a runny nose, coughing, sneezing, or slight throat irritation — all signs that the salt is loosening mucus and helping your respiratory system.

Are the above symptoms normal?

These temporary symptoms are normal and often a sign that the therapy is working to relieve conditions like asthma, sinusitis, bronchitis, eczema, and cold or flu symptoms. Breathe deeply and relax as the salt-rich air helps boost your immune system and improve overall wellness.

Can I bring water into the salt room

Food, drinks and chewing gum are not allowed in the salt room.

What level of yoga experience is required for the session?

No yoga experience is required. Just come with an open mind and be prepared to stretch and relax.
