Restorative Practice in Action #TDrestorative
This workshop is not just for educators but for everyone involved in building community, on- and offline.
Restorative practice (RP) is an emerging field of behaviour management that enables people to restore and build community in an increasingly disconnected world.. It acknowledges that participants have 'back stories'; it emphasises the establishment of community and belonging through the deliberate use of restorative language and the modelling of positive facilitator behaviours. This workshop, led by , will explore practical ways to use RP in your work and also allow important thinking time for exploration of the issues in your own practice contexts.
We want colleagues to have full access to this meeting. Please do not be offended if we ask you to help us get this right. When you complete your booking, please make sure to tell us if you have any accessibility, belief/faith, caring, dietary, learning, medical or other requirements and what we need to do so that you can participate in this meeting.
The fee is based on a donation model: The Northern College is a charity, so we can't afford to operate at a loss and we have no funding for this work. We recommend £30, but please pay what you can afford. To keep costs down, please visit our Dining Room for affordable home cooking, or bring your own lunch.
