About this event

Relax into your Sunday evening by inviting gentle movement and soothing sound into your body, leading you into a restful and nourishing night to start off the week.

-------------------------------------------

Qigong teacher, Nikki Cottrell, and Sound therapist, Rounik Sethi (Sound Healing | Rounik Sound Healing | Bristol), are looking forward to welcoming you to the Bedminster Quaker Meeting House for a 2 hour movement and sound experience.

You'll firstly practice some wonderfully calming and harmonising Qigong movements with Nikki, potentially in the lovely garden if the weather allows. Qigong (pronounced 'chee gung') is an ancient movement meditation practice akin to yoga. Amongst a host of other physical and mental benefits, the easy flowing movements of Qigong help reduce stress, bring harmony to the body and calm the mind.

You will then be led into a super soothing sound bath, facilitated by Rounik, weaving sounds to help you journey deep into an expansive and relaxing space, nestled upon the waves of relaxing vibrations and frequencies of sacred gongs, singing bowls, chimes, monochord and voice.

Join us for a truly restorative evening where you can unwind, let go of anything not needed and leave feeling nourished and replenished.

Organized by

Qigong (pronounced "chee gung", is a wonderful movement practice. It is a little like Tai Chi, though generally the movements are more flowing and less martial arts based. Its amazing for: - stress relief - joint mobility and flexibility - muscle strengthening - bringing harmony to breath and body - improved posture and blood circulation - general mind and body 'feel goods'!
