Join Rowena for an evening Sound Bath to relax and unwind.

Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes early as doors will close promptly at 7pm. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the session, it will not be possible to give access to late comers.

This event takes place at Foundry Walthamstow and will be an opportunity to slow down, focus inwards, and practice receiving.

Mats, blankets, bolsters and eye masks are provided, but feel free to bring your own additions for extra comfort.

We will begin with some breathwork practices to not only slow down and calm the body and mind, but also optimise our breathing patterns and ensure that every breath we take is as beneficial as possible. There will be functional elements of breathwork, alongside a more meditative and relaxing approach.

The sound journey will include the use of Tibetan and crystal bowls, the gong, chimes, and various percussive instruments.

If you've never been to a sound ceremony or gong bath, here is a little more information: Sound baths can promote relaxation, reduce stress, and can stimulate altered states of consciousness. Benefits can include relief from anxiety, better sleep, released emotional blockages, and improved focus. They also help slow down heart and respiration rates, and increase nitric oxide levels. Entrainment, or synchronizing brainwaves with gong frequencies, can create overall harmony within the body. You will hear sounds from the gongs, as well as other instruments, such as Himalayan singing bowls, crystal singing bowls, rattles, and chimes amongst others. Some sounds may create some dissonance within the body - this is sometimes part of a deeper healing process. No two sessions are quite the same.

* Wear comfortable, warm clothing, as body temperature tends to drop in states of relaxation.

* Warm socks recommended as you are kindly requested to remove shoes before entering the space.

* Avoid drinking alcohol, caffeine and eating a heavy meal before the event.

* Avoid wearing noisy jewellery or strong perfumes

* Bring a journal if you would like to take some time to reflect on your experience afterwards.
