This event is for anyone living in a historical property such as tenement or period home that finds their home hard to heat, or to keep warm. Home Energy Scotland has brought together a number of industry specialists to offer help and guidance.
You can listen to short informative presentations from industry experts, get tailored energy efficiency advice from our Home Energy Scotland technical team, find out what funding and support is available. Learn about planning requirements in Edinburgh meet Green Home Network Members who have already installed energy efficiency measures in their homes, plus you can speak with specialist installers who have experience in working in Georgian and Victorian properties.

Who is this event for?
Anyone who lives in an older property (pre 1919) who finds their home hard to heat, or to keep warm, this includes Victorian and Georgian period homes and tenements.
What Energy Efficiency measures will be covered at the event?
The experts will discuss a range of measures from solid wall insulation, draught proofing, glazing, window shutters to installing renewable energy solutions. If you are interested in a specific element of your property our Home Energy Scotland advisors will be able to assist.
Which Installers will be at the event?
Local installers have been invited who are experienced in working in historic buildings this includes glazing specialists, draught proofing specialists and installers of solid wall insulation
I would like tailored advice for my home – can I get this at the event?
Yes Home Energy Scotland advisors will be in attendance. They can discuss your property and arrange for a home visit; where qualified staff can attend your home and make recommendations about what improvements you can make to your property
What is a Green Home Network Member?
A Green Home Network member is a person who has installed energy efficiency measures in their home. They are happy to share their experience of installing the measure and the benefits the measure has made to their property. Yes – tea and coffee is served at the start of the event
Can I ask questions of the speakers?
Yes we have a dedicated Q+A session and there is time at the end of the presentations when you can ask questions.
