Resuscitation Council UK NLS Course

General information

Launched in 1999, Resuscitation Council UK’s Newborn Life Support course teaches the knowledge and skills to:

• approach the management of a newborn infant requiring assistance during the first 10-20 minutes in a competent manner;
• understand the processes underlying apnoea, bradycardia and poor condition at birth;
• initiate resuscitation of the newborn infant;
• deliver practical airway management and ventilatory support.

Who is the course for?

The NLS course is designed for any healthcare professional who delivers and cares for the newborn infant. This includes both junior and senior medical and nursing staff, midwives, paramedics and resuscitation officers.

All applicants must hold a professional healthcare qualification or be in training for a professional healthcare qualification.

Unlike many of our other courses, there is no NLS recertification course. The NLS course is appropriate for first-time Candidates as well as those looking to renew their NLS certification.

Cancellation by the Candidate

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, necessitating the cancellation or rescheduling of your booking. To ensure fair and efficient use of our resources, the following cancellation policy applies:

If you are unable to attend a scheduled training course, you must notify us as soon as possible. We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee. The following cancellation policy will apply based on the amount of notice provided:

• 30+ Days’ Notice: Full refund minus booking fee (non-refundable due to the Eventbrite processing fees).
• Less than 30 Days’ Notice: 100% cancellation fee.

All cancellation fees are calculated based on the original course price, including VAT. We will confirm the applicable fees and process refunds for amounts paid more than the cancellation and booking charges. Refunds will be issued via the original payment method and may take up to 10 working days to process.

Transfer of Registration

In some instances, we may offer the option to transfer your registration to an alternative course date. We will try to accommodate your request, but please note that you may incur a cancellation fee if the transfer results in additional costs. Due to space limitations, only one transfer is permitted per booking.

Cancellation by Us

If we need to cancel or amend a training course, you will be offered a full refund (including the booking fee) or a place on an alternative date at no extra charge.
