Event description

Description

Join us at our annual Retail Banking Conference will be taking place on 13th March 2019 in London, now in its 6th year. This years’ conference will focus on ‘the digital future of personal finance’

The conference will be immediately preceded by a business breakfast at the new event space in UK Finance's office, in Angel Court, London. Our keynote for the breakfast will be Jonathan Reynolds MP, Shadow Economic Secretary to the Treasury who will consider the opposition’s plans for financial services and specifically retail banking, should they take office.

The breakfast will be attended by senior bankers, policymakers and regulators and represents a great opportunity to network with your peers and gain first-hand insights into Labour party policy thinking for the sector.

About the Retail Banking Conference

Following the breakfast, the Retail Banking Conference (at the same venue) will explore the developing political and economic landscape of personal finance in 2019, a matter of weeks ahead of the UK’s formal exit from the European Union. The aim is to equip delegates with perspectives that will help to build central planning assumptions to inform business planning as the UK adjusts to an environment outside the EU. We will be hearing from the present Economic Secretary, John Glen MP and a number of leading economists as well as Charles Randell, the chair of the Financial Conduct Authority on the regulatory priories for the sector. Given the persistent threat of financial crime, we will also cover this important subject during the event. And to close we will return to the ever-popular subject of leveraging diversity in the sector.

We highly recommend booking your ticket for this long standing and ever popular event.
