The Educational Experience of Children in Care
Elaine Matchett – Elaine is a member of the English team working on the BA QTS and PGCE in Primary Education at BCU. Elaine is interviewing care leavers to gain a better understanding of how schools support children in care. She is also working closely with key staff at Birmingham City Council to share good practice and develop systems of support.
Children’s views and experiences of how bullying is dealt with in school
Dr Elizabeth Nassem is a research assistant for CSPACE at BCU. She has an EdD in where bullying exists in children’s everyday experiences of bullying and is investigating ways to develop effective anti-bullying strategies through pupil-led research.
