This course is designed to advance and challenge understanding of mental health in the workplace.
It includes important evidence-based learning that will advance attendees' understanding of what mental health is, and the challenges associated with medicalised models, and offer insights into broader influencing factors.
It will also include information that employers, managers, and other employees can use to support the mental health and wellbeing of their teams.
A specific focus will be on the importance of relational working and interpersonal connection.
This session will be followed by the opportunity to engage in a 90-minute online reflective practice session (all included within the course fee).
The course aims to:
· Explore our understanding of mental health – what it is and isn’t
· Understand relational working and its workplace benefits.
· Share and understand our experience of good leadership
· Identify relationally healthy practices
· Understand the impact of blame and shame
· Provide tips on how to support our own mental health and wellbeing and those of our colleagues.
· Facilitate reflective practice
Feedback
"The course was effective in giving some new perspectives on mental health and new ways of thinking about how best to support colleagues. I gained some really useful ideas for implementing a team approach, through reflection with other attendees and input from the trainer. I also gained some insight into areas where I was 'stuck' and ideas for how to move forward".
