Come and help solve London’s super challenges at our one day social innovation hack.
Re:thinking Philanthropy for London
At this unique one-day event, you will join 150 like-minded City millennials as social innovators to hack solutions to four of London’s super challenges:
Poor air quality
Modern day slavery
In the morning sessions you will hear from charity leaders, research specialists and work with people directly affected by these problems to help overcome them.
After a buffet lunch, you will use your newly-acquired knowledge in ‘speed-dating’ and ‘brand-matching’ workshops to crunch solutions with fellow hackers. The best ideas will go forward to a crowd-funding session to take them to the next level and on to reality.
The day will end with a networking reception.
Guest speakers include:
Julia Unwin CBE, CEO, Joseph Rowntree Foundation
Tris Lumley, Head of Impact, NPC
Jake Hayman, Founder, Ten Years' Time
Aims of the day:
- Co-create workable initiatives to address London’s super challenges
- Educate London millennials about these issues and empower them to make a difference
- Inspire participants to want to do more
- Encourage networking and new relationships around social issues
- Celebrate Giving Tuesday in London
Come ready to work, to meet people from an incredible diversity of lives and to make your contribution to the future of London by Rethinking Philanthropy this Giving Tuesday, November 29th 2016.
