RETHINKING ROLE MODELS: CREATE YOUR OWN HERO!

What does it really mean to “be a man”? Is it all about muscles and being tough — or could it be about kindness, respect, creativity, or being a great friend?

Come join us at The Exchange for a FREE hands-on workshop with writer/artist Keith Sparrow, where you’ll get to flip the script on the usual “macho hero” and invent your own characters that break the rules.

Together we’ll explore and challenge old stereotypes about boys and men, and celebrate how being thoughtful, caring, sensitive, or supportive are powerful traits too.

Keith is the Cornwall-based author of several books on the art of manga drawing and runs regular workshops and drawing sessions all over Cornwall & Devon. This will be an easy-to-follow drawing session for all abilities, with materials provided. [For ages 8+]
