Description

RETREAT: Shamata Retreat with Geshe Tashi

Sat 24 Feb | 10:00 - 17:00
Sun 25 Feb| 10:00 - 13:00

ABOUT THE RETREAT

Shamatha is the practice of developing single-pointed concentration, developing a calm, clear and focused mind. This practice is essential if we are to subdue and heal our agitated and unruly mind, to become masters of our mind.

During this retreat we will become familiar with and practice shamatha meditations using different objects of focus:

  • breath (full-body, abdomen and nostrils)
  • mind (settling the mind in its natural state)
  • no object (awareness of awareness)

Join Geshe Tashi in this unique opportunity to gain the skills to take your meditation practice to another level and to reap the benefits of a more concentrated mind.
