Forth Valley is at the forefront of Scotland’s transition to a low-carbon future - and skilled people are key to making it happen. Across Falkirk, Stirling, and Clackmannanshire, thousands of homes and public buildings need upgraded to meet energy efficiency targets. This event, hosted by Forth Valley College and based at their Falkirk Campus, brings together local employers, training providers, and retrofit experts to show how you can get involved, whether you're a tradesperson looking to upskill or a local resident seeking information on making your home more sustainable.
Delivered in partnership with The Verdancy Group and Warmworks, this information session marks the launch of new retrofit training courses developed through Forth Valley College’s Skills Transition Centre - a project funded by the Falkirk and Grangemouth Growth Deal to support the region’s workforce through Scotland’s net zero journey. Attendees will hear directly from industry leaders and partners working to deliver funded, job-ready training that supports local people into well-paid, future-proof careers in insulation, ventilation, assessment, and coordination.
Other partners supporting the event include Scottish Procurement Alliance and Energy Saving Trust, who are helping shape training and delivery to meet real industry needs.
Whether you're already working in construction or just starting out, this session will help you understand the growing retrofit sector, connect with local projects, and take the next step toward a rewarding career - all while contributing to Scotland’s climate goals.
