Retrofit lessons from the LetZero pilot with VundaHaus I RISE Masterclass
Overview
About this event
Join us for an engaging knowledge share session exploring the lessons learned from the LetZero pilot project in Sheffield, delivered in collaboration with VundaHaus.
LetZero, funded by Innovate UK, is a pioneering initiative aimed at transforming retrofit delivery in the private rented sector. The Sheffield pilot focused on supporting landlords to make informed decisions about upgrading homes—particularly those housing vulnerable tenants—using AI-driven tools and community-centred approaches.
VundaHaus will share insights from their involvement in the pilot, highlighting how innovation, collaboration, and resident engagement can unlock retrofit potential in hard-to-treat and non-traditional housing stock.
This session will explore:
- Key lessons from the LetZero Sheffield pilot and its impact on retrofit strategy
- Approaches to engaging landlords and tenants in retrofit planning and delivery
- Using data and digital tools to tailor retrofit pathways to local needs
- Building partnerships across local authorities, tech providers, and housing organisations
- Opportunities to replicate and scale LetZero’s model across other regions and housing types
This session is ideal for housing associations, retrofit contractors, local authorities, and anyone interested in advancing retrofit delivery through innovation, collaboration, and inclusive design.
Speakers: Alex Whitcroft, Director, KIN.
Maximilian Bloomfield, Co-founder, VundaHaus.
