What is sound therapy or sound healing?

Sound healing is an ancient practice that uses sound to promote well-being. It is based on the understanding that everything in the universe, including our bodies, is in a state of vibration. If our bodies get knocked out of harmony due to stress/life, sound healing may help to restore balance.

What is a sound bath?

Accepted Answer

A sound bath is a deeply immersive experience where layers of vibration and frequency from acoustic instruments help calm the mind, relax the body, and rebalance the nervous system, support the body’s natural ability to self-heal and return to balance.

Who is this session for?

Accepted Answer

This may support those who are experiencing stress, burnout, or overwhelm; want to improve sleep and relaxation; seek support with emotional release or nervous system balance; looking to improve energy flow, blood flow or lower blood pressure; wish to feel more connected or centred in themselves.

Question 4

Who should avoid this sound bath?

Accepted Answer

Sound baths may not be suitable if you are: In your first trimester of pregnancy or have a high-risk pregnancy; Living with a pacemaker; Managing epilepsy, severe mental illness, or unstable physical health. In these situations we recommend avoidance or medical consultation first.

Question 5

How can I prepare?

Accepted Answer

Simply come with openness and curiosity. A few gentle tips: Avoid stimulants like caffeine before; wear loose, comfortable clothing; bring water and extra layers to stay cosy; set a gentle intention. On the day, you’ll be guided through everything, there’s no pressure, and no way to get it wrong.

I'm going to be late - what do I do?

Our role as facilitators is to keep the space safe and comfortable for everyone, and late entry can affect the feeling of this 'container', and affect the experience. Because of this, we don't admit late arrivals. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to settle in so we can start promptly.

Can I get a refund if I can't make it?

We understand that life happens. Generally, late cancellations (under 48 hours) or missed sessions are non-refundable, but rescheduling 3-7 days before to a later date may be possible depending on availability.

Are you qualified and insured practitioners?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We’re accredited by the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM) and the UK Reiki Federation, and hold practitioner insurance. We’re committed to continuous learning, ethical practice, and the highest standards of care. ​

Can a sound bath cure an illness?

Accepted Answer

We don’t diagnose, treat medical conditions, or make medical claims, and we do not promise outcomes. Our work focuses on restoring flow, harmony, and coherence in the body, helping to activate the body's innate healing abilities. With us,  you are the healer, we just facilitate healing conditions.

Question 10

What if I don't feel anything during the sound bath? Does it mean it's not working?

Accepted Answer

That’s perfectly ok. Effects can be subtle — a tingling in the body, a sense of calm, or mental clarity that appears hours/ days later. Other times, it may feel more emotional, visual, or physical. There’s no right or wrong way to experience it. The key is meeting it with curiosity & compassion.

What do I bring?

For this session, you must bring your own kit (yoga mat, pillow, blanket, and an eye mask for the full 'sonic spa' vibes!). We don't have spares, and the church doesn't hold equipment. So please bring what you need to feel comfortable, warm and cosy. Water is also essential.
