Event description
Two of Fix's postnatal specialists have teamed up to teach an online workshop on how to return to high impact exercise after having a baby.

About this Event

After a very successful first workshop, two of our Postnatal specialists, Niamh Burn and Nicki Brown have teamed up to teach this wonderful 2-hour online workshop, catered to postnatal women wanting to return to high impact exercises after having a baby.

The workshop features a talk by Niamh on how to successfully and efficiently return to impact, while Nicki will be teaching a series of strength and cardio based exercises to help you get there.

Both of them will be taking some time at the end to answer all your questions to make sure your return to impact is as enjoyable as possible.

Designed to fit into your schedule! All participants will receive a zoom link to participate live and a recording of the workshop will be available for the following week only.

Suitable for women who are 12 weeks postnatal or more.

About Niamh Burn

She developed a keen interest in women's health and pelvic health 10 years ago when she was pregnant and got to know all about pelvic pain! She decided to make it her mission to work with women in at this stage of their lives and sought the training needed to do this.

Women's health became her personal passion and she really enjoys helping women with pregnancy and postpartum related conditions such as pelvic girdle pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, abdominal diastasis and urogynaecological issues like painful sex, urinary leaks and prolapse.

Her MSK and women's health (pelvic floor) background gives her a holistic approach and she has a keen interest in guiding women back to exercise or whatever makes them feel good post delivery.

Niamh is a member of the Pelvic Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapists, a Mummy MOT practitioner and a recommended practitioner on the pelvic partnership website.

When not at FIX you will probably find her on her bike or “hanging” in the park with her 3 boys.

About Nicki Brown

Nicki trained as a personal trainer 6 years ago and began her journey working with pre and postal clients. With a passion for helping women through the journey of pregnancy and motherhood she began working on postnatal family retreats and teaching classes at Frame.

Wanting to learn more and follow her passion for anatomy, she completed her BTEC Level 5 Sports Massage qualification and then furthered her training with the Burrell Education Pre and Postnatal Massage and Remedial Therapy course.

With a great understanding of the pre and postnatal journey she combines her PT knowledge with her massage to help ease aches and pains that arise throughout pregnancy and postnatally. Nicki uses a variety of techniques including muscle energy technique, trigger point therapy, soft tissue therapy and muscle release. She is also able to offer exercises and stretches to complement the treatment and bring ease into your life out of the treatment room.
