In truth, there’s nothing magical about successful selling. “S/he’s a born salesperson” is a myth. Almost anyone can become a successful salesperson – but, just like any other career, we need to learn how.

This workshop will look at ‘The Eight Steps of Selling’. This is a logical sequence of thoughts and actions which, once learned and implemented, will dramatically improve your chances of success in selling your products and/or services. The eight steps – which we will examine in detail with live examples – are:

  • Planning & preparation (including diligent and targeted research)
  • Introductions and opening gambits (establishing credibility and authority)
  • Questioning skills (identifying needs; creating wants; understanding parameters)
  • Positive presentation (how to explain; pitch & tone; timing & examples)
  • Overcoming objections (negotiating; minimising/switching; keeping on track)
  • Closing the deal (closing gambits; agreement, commitment & confirmation)
  • Following-up (after-sales support; on-time delivery, fulfilment of commitment)
  • Obtaining referrals (internal & external recommendations; other market sectors)
