Rewilding Weekends at the Govan Wetlands
We invite everyone along to help us plant half a million wetland plants at the Govan Wetlands!
About this event
Blue Green Glasgow is a community interest company restoring post-industrial land in Glasgow by building wetlands, or blue-green, ecosystems for climate adaptation, engaging communities, and the creation of sustainable jobs.
Ahead of COP26 we are building the Govan Wetlands Project at the historic shipyards where we are planting wetland ecosystems that support urban biodiversity and store carbon, along with decontaminating soil in a nature-based way.
After the success of our first 'Rewilding Weekend' on the 23rd and 24th of October, we decided that we want to organise more planting days!
So we invite everyone (those that didn't have the chance to come around yet and those that want to plant more!!!) to come along and help us plant half a million wetland plants!
