Reworking The Ordinary
Sat, 15 Jul 2017, 11:00 – Sun, 16 Jul 2017, 16:00 BST
This new workshop is aimed mainly at students and is intended to re-frame thinking and broaden understandings of visual communication.
In this workshop we will relocate and rework ordinary objects, taking them out of their familiar context and forming new narratives. Through creating installations and photographing conceptual imagery, the aim is to explore and question how function informs the way we perceive objects.
Lauren is a set designer and art director currently working in Glasgow. She studied for her foundation diploma at Central St Martins and her BA hons in Graphic Design at Edinburgh College of Art. Her work is colourful and vibrant, often celebrating and sprucing up otherwise mundane subjects.
All participants are asked to bring 3 varied objects that they wouldn’t mind permanently altering.
