About this event
The RFUK Edutainment Seminar & Showcase is the ideal event for people aiming to be successful performers and for those wanting to gain more knowledge and understanding about the music business. The event is broken down into two parts, a free Edutainment Seminar in the daytime and an affordable performance showcase in the evening.

EDUTAINMENT SEMINAR SESSION
The afternoon is packed with a variety of practical workshops and presentations carefully chosen to be of benefit to a wide range of people in the music and entertainment business. Industry professionals are kindly giving their time for free for the benefit of the community.

- Stagecraft Masterclass with Lorna Gee
Workshops and presentations include:
- Music Production with Babyboom
- Copyright with Jamie Pullman (Musicians’ Union)
- Well-Being with Abi Osho
- Online Profile Development with Coral Reid
This session ends with a panel led discussion with audience participation about ‘Modern Dancehall Music’. Controversy is a word thrown about a lot when talking about dancehall - whether centred on the brash and violent lyrics, it's treatment of women or its outlandish characters. This interactive session is bound to raise the temperature of the event. Panel members include:

SHOWCASE SESSION
This session kicks off with PA performances by the three winners of the RFUK Star Pick Competition
Next is the presentation of awards to the winners of the RFUK International Reggae Day People’s Choice UK Reggae Music Poll. The winners are:
Favourite 2021 UK Reggae Single: Love Is Everywhere by Sister Audrey.
Favourite 2021 UK Reggae Album: From The Vaults by Laid Blak.
Favourite 2021 UK Reggae Riddim Album: The Stranger In Love Riddim EP by Chocolate Dreamz Music Productions
The winners from last year will also receive their awards because RFUK were unable to host a physical event last year owing to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.
The event ends with live performances by: Sandra Cross, Roger Robin, Teshay Makeda and LA Gray all backed by the RFUK Band
