Rheuma Research Roadshow - Leeds
Thu 30 March 2017, 12:30 – 15:30 BST
Anyone with Polymyalgia Rheumatica or Giant Cell Arteritis will agree that these conditions are under-researched. We all want to know more about what is happening in the world of research to find causes, treatments, and of course, a cure. This roadshow event will bring patients, friends and family, general public and researchers together to find out what is happening locally and regionally. Leeds Musculoskeletal and Biomedical Research Unit is one of the top centres for PMR and GCA research in the world. Dr Sarah Mackie and other members of the team team will share their most up-to-date knowledge and there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and discuss the issues raised. Our special focus for the day will be 'What is happening in the body when someone has PMR or GCA?'
This event is supported by a grant to PMRGCAuk from the Wellcome Trust
