About this event

  • Event lasts 28 days 2 hours

With funding from the National Lottery Community Fund we're excited to be continuing with the Rhythm Hub project, bringing Exeter and Okehampton communities together through rhythm, dance and song.

Rhythm Hub provides opportunities for people of all ages/ethnicities/genders/beliefs to take part in group drumming, dancing, singing and community-building games in a relaxing and accessible way that will build friendships and strengthen creativity, coordination, confidence and all-round wellbeing.

Join us for our ongoing Rhythm Hub drum & dance course in Exeter to learn rhythms, dances and songs from West Africa, develop your dance and rhythm skills, and make new friendships in a positive and uplifting environment.

We'll meet on Wednesday afternoons from 4pm to 6pm on the following dates:

16th April

30th April

14th May

This course builds from our ongoing Rhtyhm Hub course and will build towards a celebratory community performance evening in September 2025 where all the Rhythm Hub groups will have the opportunity to come together with local musicians and members of the wider community, to share and celebrate what we’ve created together during the project.
