Do I need to be registered with Ards Sure Start before attending?

Accepted Answer

Families must be registered with Ards Sure Start although registration forms can be completed in the group - just ask a member of staff for details. Many families attending our baby session will have been registered antenatally so you may need to complete a registration form for your baby.

I've booked a space but somethings come up and I can no longer attend!

Accepted Answer

We ask that you get in touch as soon as possible to let us know if you can no longer attend a session. This means your space can be offered out to someone on our waiting list

Why do I have to book on each week?

Accepted Answer

Its important that we cap the number of families attending each session as we want to make it an enjoyable experience for all. Too many children means longer waiting times for turn taking activities, not enough props/resources to go around everyone, and its more difficult to meet our objectives.

Question 4

I forgot to book on this week and now all the spaces have been allocated, is there anything I can do

Please email laura.mcauley2@setrust.hscni.net and express your interest in attending the session. We can add you to the waiting list and will contact you if any spaces become available.

Question 5

What if my baby needs fed or is due a nap during the session?

Accepted Answer

At such a young age baby's can become over stimulated very easily and we want them to enjoy the session as much as possible. As always, we encourage you to respond to your baby's needs throughout the session  - you are more than welcome to feed your baby, nurse them, and comfort them.
