Event description

Description

Please read all of the following before booking.

This event is for 16–18 year olds. Please note that lunch will not be provided so all students and teachers should bring a packed lunch with them.

The Ri Unconference brings together students from around the UK to share their ideas about the future of science and policy. The day will centre on the topic of privacy, with discussions exploring privacy in our interaction with technology, human rights and policy, and national security. We are inviting up to 12 students from each school to join around 200 of their peers. The day will include key note speeches from scientists and commentators followed by student discussion groups and presentations.

School group tickets:

Teachers can book a group of up to 12 students along with at least one teacher or responsible adult (please book a teacher ticket for each adult attending with the group). All students in the group must be between 16 and 18. Dependent on availability, we may be able to accommodate larger groups, please enquire at nsimons@ri.ac.uk .

Individual sixth form student tickets:

Sixth form students may attend alone if they have obtained permission from their sixth form to take the day out, please email nsimons@ri.ac.uk to enquire about these tickets.
