RIAS Presidential Hustings

This is your chance to hear what the candidates have to say.

The event will be held as a webinar using zoom.us. Please register to attend via this Eventbrite page. You will receive a zoom link to join the webinar via email before the event.

We will be recording this Hustings and a video of it will be added to the RIAS website to view after the event.

Submit a Question

The candidates will take questions from RIAS members during the event. Questions are to be submitted in advance by emailing gemma.sinclair@rias.org.uk by 12pm on Wendesday 27th. If you are submitting more than one please state your preferred question to be answered (we will start with one per person and then answer any additional if there is time, in order to ensure we can answer questions from as many attendees as possible)

Using Zoom

If this is your first time using Zoom you will be asked to download and run the programme so please allow this (it should only take a few mins to download however you can also download Zoom in advance of the meeting if preferable – download by clicking on the “Zoom Client for Meetings” option here. If using a mobile phone please download Zoom from your app store).

Here is a useful short video on how to join a meeting.

When prompted, before joining the meeting, you should add your email address and your name (your device may default to a different name, so should be changed). When you enter the meeting you will be able to see and hear the candidates but you as an attendee will not be visible.
