Event description

Description

We are pleased to announce our first course focusing on newer Regional Anaesthetic techniques for patients with rib fractures: Serratus Plane and Erector Spinae Plane blocks. The course will feature discussion on the anatomy and indicaitons for blocks, scanning on volunteer models, familiarisation with needle and catheter sets plus scanning and injecting on cadavers.

The course aims to spread the knowledge and skills to deliver these techniques to our patients on a more regular and sustainable basis, so interested trainees and consultants are welcome.

To maximise the scanning time on the day, there is likely to be some light pre-course reading (which may include US and needle practice for those wishing).

The facutly for the course are consultant anaesthetists in NHSG with practical experience of both regional anaethesia and the techniques being shown. Thanks to Pajunk and Sonosite for assistance with the course.

Places limited to 10.

Leave deadline 22nd March!

4 CPD credits from the Royal College of Anaesthetists have been applied for.
