Module Two: Legislation, regulations and best practice

This module will provide a closer look at the Equality Act 2010, focusing on key areas such as providing services, the responsibility of employers to their employees and the requirements of the Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED). We will look at the protected characteristic groups and give examples of how they may be affected by the designs we create or the construction process. Examples in case law will be used to better understand the interpretation of the requirements. This module will highlight relevant regulations and best practice documents to understand the role they play in meeting the legislative requirements.
