Day 4 of the CPD City Club 2016: Cornwall is:
10.00am: Failures in inclusive design: callous disregard or misunderstanding?
This presentation will review how people’s attitudes towards inclusive design have changed. An interactive exercise in the shape of a mini access audit will complement the seminar, producing an overall view of the accessibility of the building with the opportunity to address any queries with the project architect on site.
Speaker: Robin McCaren, Inclusive Design Consultant
1.30pm: Getting the most out of heritage statements
This seminar will aim to provide a detailed insight and understanding of the general effects that geology and ground conditions can have on a development. It will look at ways of identifying ground related problems at an early stage and how these can be dealt with and overcome, whilst preventing costly delays and unexpected engineering/construction costs later in the project.
Speaker: Elaine Milton, Elaine Milton Heritage & Planning; Jocelyn Sage, Wiltshire Council
The full programme with more details on the seminars and speakers can be found here.
