For nearly twenty years, he has championed the town’s unique past through exhibitions, media appearances, and four published books.

This special walking tour and talk will delve into the remarkable story of the 1905 Cheap Cottages Exhibition an event that placed Letchworth Garden City on the map and helped shape the future of domestic architecture.

More than just a showcase of innovation, the Exhibition attracted over 60,000 visitors and over 120 new houses were built using pioneering materials and construction methods. It drew national press attention and even prompted the Great Northern Railway to open a train station in the town helping Letchworth become a household name.
