About this Event

RIBA Gloucestershire is pleased to present our first talk for 2020 with special guest speaker Fergus Feilden, from Feilden Fowles Architects.

Fergus founded Feilden Fowles with Edmund Fowles in 2010.

The practice is shortlisted for the Stirling Prize, has won numerous RIBA and Civic Trust awards and was named BD Young Architect of the Year 2016.

Fergus is passionate about working with enlightened clients to create shared visions. The work is materially rich, diverse and non-stylistic. The practice is particularly interested in working on sensitive sites and unlocking complex briefs.

Currently the practice is working with high profile clients across the country including The National Trust, TfL and Carlisle Cathedral. Fergus is a critic at a number of universities, a panel member of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Quality Review Panel and an RIBA Awards judge.

Fergus recently led on the design of the Weston, a new gallery and visitor centre at Yorkshire Sculpture Park, which won RIBA Yorkshire Building of the Year, an RIBA National Award and is shortlisted for the Stirling Prize 2019.

Free for RIBA members & University of Gloucestershire Students.
