RIBA N.E Small Practice Community and RIBA NW SEP - CPD/Q&A with Keri Barr
The recent introduction of the Principal Designer B-Regs role has added a layer of beneficial yet challenging regulation into the process of delivering buildings. Following the PD-CDM structure the PD-B-Regs role has its own specific implications for our processes, insurance, client relations, and much more besides. Applicable to all projects regardless of scale, it can be hard to know the extent of their application, particularly on small projects. The CPD will offer a short introduction to the regulations, but the main focus will be a Q+A session on the application of these regs to small projects and for sole practitioners/small practices.
Keri Barr is a contributor to the RIBA Principal Designer course – available through RIBA Academy at a subsidised rate for RIBA members – and as the principal of a small practice working predominantly on domestic schemes but with experience across a range of sectors, she is well placed to help us navigate the new requirements.
