Event Details

Key changes to the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) in 2018 have reinforced government objectives for the planning system whilst clarifying the intention of national policy in the light of decisions by the courts since 2012. The revised Framework has introduced several new considerations whilst adding emphasis to others.

This seminar will offer in depth knowledge of the NPPF, its structure, intent and interpretation, which can be fundamental to the advice given to clients as the basis for assessing the potential of development and delivering successful outcomes. The seminar will cover the relationship between the Framework, development plans and the National Planning Policy Guidance online resource as well as an overview of key parts of the Framework and any future changes that may be expected.

Speakers

Neil is a senior director at DLP Planning, a national consultancy with a wide-ranging portfolio of projects in the housing, industrial, renewable energy, retail, leisure and educational sectors and working for public sector clients on a range of development management and appeal cases.
