Description

Module Four: Procurement, tender, form of contract and on-site delivery

This webinar series will share an architect’s learning from having been involved exclusively with Passivhaus in the UK from the beginning, 10 years ago, and on all scales – private domestic, education, commercial, leisure and care facilities.

Using build examples of commercial and residential, new build and retrofit Passivhaus projects, this webinar series will:

  • Illustrate different approaches to design, detailing, procurement and construction
  • Explore how to reduce the risks and associated costs for everyone involved and share the learnings from an architect’s perspective
  • Look at how to implement an integrated approach with the architect as the generalist overseeing the delivery, steering the solutions from the earliest stages and offering added value by delivering higher performing, healthier and more profitable buildings for their clients

Focussing on the different procurement routes and contracts typically used in the UK, module four will cover:

  • Key constructions challenges and how to tackle them with the right procurement and tender strategy
  • How the procurement routes and contracts can be applied to Passivhaus projects
  • Risks and pitfalls
