RIBA two-day Principal Designer Course - London
Wed, 7 Dec 2016, 10:00 – Tue, 13 Dec 2016, 17:00 GMT
The course explores the Principal Designer role in an interactive and engaging format, designed and led by architect Paul Bussey, author of CDM 2015: A Practical Guide for Architects and Designers, and civil engineer Tony Putsman from the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).
Who is the course for?
The two day course provides a comprehensive understanding of the regulations, context and background, as well as Principal Designer practicalities.
Although the course is mainly aimed at architects with three or more years’ experience, it is also suitable for other duty-holders looking to learn more about the new Principal Designer role.
Course content and structure
The course addresses the new Principal Designer role, created by CDM 2015 Regulations, and it will provide you with sufficient knowledge and guidance to enhance your existing skills, knowledge and understanding as ‘designers’, enabling you to assume the Principal Designer role on ongoing projects.
The course (12 hours in total) is delivered over two days with a week-long gap in between, allowing you time to reflect and revise, carry out your own CDM analysis report and review the suggested reading.
