Event description

Description

7pm to 9.30pm, Thursday 31 May 2018

Richard Head talks of making The Victorian Longbow, the bow used mainly in competition shooting, and a wide variety of period bows, based on actual artifacts that have been examined at first hand. Some of his workmanship has been on show as commissioned work at the `V and A` as part of the `uncomfortable truths` exhibition.

Bring your own tipple and nibbles if you would like to and free parking at the rear of the building.

This promises to be an informative evening - a precursor to our next event which is an archery evening and picnic where you can try your hand at archery and become Robin Hood for the night drinking cider or mead at the bar!
