Event description

Description

Join us on this NEW, exciting and adventurous sponsored walk along the iconic River Thames. You will have an opportunity to explore some of Richmond’s finest conservation areas, including the Terrace and Ham House Gardens.

Register now as an individual or a group

This is an all-age, fun filled family Christian Aid event. The 6.5 miles walk will start at St Matthias Church, Church Road, Richmond, TW10 6LL and ends on the corner of Kew Green, Richmond TW9 3AH.

Why not take on the individual challenge of raising at least £100 in sponsorship or £500 as a group of 5 or more attendees. Once registered you will receive a sponsorship pack containing full details of the walk and everything you need for your successful fundraising.

By walking, you will be raising funds for Christian Aid’s work with communities living in poverty around the globe, as well as continuing our efforts to challenge the structures of power that keep people poor.

When: Saturday 23 September

Starts: Registration from 9.30am at St Matthias Church, Church Road, Richmond, TW10 6LL. The walk will start at 10.30am.

Ends: The walk will end on the corner of Kew Green, Richmond TW9 3AH, at 3pm.

All children under the age of 14 need to be accompanied by an adult. It is not expected that children under 14 years will raise sponsorship for this event.

There is a £20 suggested donation for adults who do not register before the event and do not plan to raise sponsorship.

Please download our A4 poster and A5 flyer to publicise this event in your church, organisation, school, etc.
